Condition
The copper is flat and in good condition with very minor ridges in the upper right section visible only in raking light. The paint surface overall is well preserved with slight abrasion in the architecture in the background upper left and at far right. Inspection under UV reveals some possible old strengthening to these areas, to the statues in the central aisle and some very minor retouches, including to the red dress of the figure in the foreground.
The painting presents a crisp and beautifully detailed image and is ready to hang in its present state. Offered in a simple carved black wood frame with gilt.
