Condition

Canvas has been relined and is firm and stable. The paint surface has been very well preserved with very good retention of detail in figures, landscape and architecture. There is minor scuffing at the edges, mostly at top and a small surface scratch at lower left. Examination under UV light: very little fluoresces; there is a very small retouch in background mountain at upper right and some possible re-working in the clouds at upper left, but this area is difficult to read. Offered in a plain brown wood frame.
