Condition

The panel is uncradled and beveled on all four sides. The surface is clean. There is excellent retention of the paint surface with lovely detail throughout. Examination under UV light: the varnish fluoresces unevenly; there is an area of retouching on woman's forehead, but otherwise nothing else is visible. This painting is presentable as is and there is no need for further work. In a faux ebony wood frame with gilt inner edge.
