Condition

The following condition report has been provided by Simon Parkes of Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc. 502 East 74th St. New York, NY 212-734-3920, simonparkes@msn.com, an independent restorer who is not an employee of Sotheby's. This work has not recently been restored. Retouches in the sky have discolored and are quite visible. The condition is actually very good. Almost all of the details within the figure group are very well preserved. If the restorations were improved in the sky, the work would improve. There is a curve to the panel from top to bottom. Careful attention to the picture would make significant improvements.
