Condition

Oil on canvas with a wax lining. The picture surface is flattened, with a stable web of craquelure and pigment separation. Somewhat thinly painted. Under UV light, there is a thick green fluorescing varnish that obscures the majority of the work. There is a thin line of retouching along the backs of the horses legs and a half-round shape that extends over the horses' back and into the bucket hanging at upper right.
