Provenance

Sale: Rago Arts and Auction Center, Lambertville, New Jersey, December 6, 2008, lot 112

Condition

Oil on canvas, not lined. The canvas is somewhat slack on the stretcher. There is a stable web of craquelure over the entire surface, and the picture surface is in overall good condition. Under UV light, there are some small scattered spots of retouching to address previous abrasions and losses. These are visible around the artist's paint bowl; in the center around the stretcher bar; at the bottom of the right window; as well as a few spots in the standing male's face and torso. In overall good condition.
