Condition
Oil on canvas, with a heavy wax lining. The picture surface is in overall fair condition, if somewhat flattened and abraded by previous cleanings. Under UV light, there is scattered retouching throughout the background. The area where the sitter's arm leans against the plinth has been retouched. Additional scattered retouched in the figure, including her proper left chest; proper left forearm; proper right eye and cheek; and additional scattered spots.
