Condition

Oil on canvas, unframed. Not lined. There are abrasions and accompanying losses associated to the stretcher bars, mainly in the upper & lower right corners, along the right edge, and along the top of the central stretcher bar at left (in Narcissus' chest). There is a stable web of craquelure over the entire surface. Under UV light, there are both older and newer retouches scattered throughout the work, especially at the extreme edges. There is an area if retouching in the proper left thigh. There is some additional minor retouching near the proper left shoulder and in the dog's head, as well as scattered in the corners.
