Condition
Oil on canvas, with an old lining. The picture surface is in generally good condition, with a stable web of craquelure and stretcher bar marks visible. Under UV light, there is inpainting, mainly to address the previously mentioned craquelure, in the face, proper right arm and bottom of the tunic of Armido as well as in the face of the figure in the boat. Scattered additional dots and dashes of retouching scattered in the body and face of Rinaldo. In overall good condition.
