Condition

There is an old glue relining. The paint surface has been generally well retained. There is very good detail in foreground figures. The areas of background architecture have been slightly pressed and some thinness is noticeable, but overall the detail remains good and these areas still read well. Under UV light: there are retouches in the sky including over a possible repaired puncture at upper left. Some other retouching at lower right corner, some on figure at lower left corner and some reinforcement of the dark outlines of ladder and other architectural elements. In a parcel-gilt wood frame with scroll design.
