Condition

Oil on panel. The surface is covered in a dirty varnish. There are vertical lines of craquelure evident across the work. A vertical panel crack to the left of the seated figure extends through his book and cloak. Under UV light, there are older, scattered retouches throughout, especially around the aforementioned panel crack.
