Oil on canvas, with an old lining. The surface of the work is covered in a shiny varnish. The surface is somewhat flattened from the relining and has been minorly abraded in the whites, likely due to previous cleanings. Under UV light, the majority of the background is obscured by a green fluorescing varnish, though there are some scattered small areas of dark florescence near the upper left corner. There are scattered dots and dashes of retouching in the white tablecloth at left and scattered in the melon. Additional small scattered dots of retouching at the upper right and lower right corners. Framed and in overall good condition.
