Description

  • ebony, gilt-bronze, leather
  • 79cm. high, 198cm. wide, 97cm. deep; 2ft. 7¼in., 6ft. 6in., 3ft. 2¼in.
with a gilt-bronze banded rectangular leather inset top, the frieze with three drawers on the front and back, the central one recessed, raised on cabriole legs with gilt-bronze foliate and scroll cast mounts throughout, the sides with a pierced c-scroll, scallopshell and acanthus cast mount, the whole inlaid with brass stringing, possibly reveneered; partly remounted 

Condition

In overall good conserved condition. Old minor marks chips and scratches commensurate with age and normal usage and age cracks. Some filling to screw holes in the gilt-bronze border around the top and there is a very minor patch to the gilt-bronze with a silver colour now showing perhaps a repair.
