Centered by a cushion-cut pink sapphire weighing approximately 4.00 carats, within rock crystal surrounds, accented by single-cut diamonds weighing approximately .25 carats, size 6¾, with French assay and partial maker's marks; circa 1930.

Condition

In good condition. The pink sapphire is a rich medium pink-red color and is moderately included, with one small surface-reaching fissure and minute abrasions to a few of the facet junctions. The rock crystal is frosted and is a light grayish color and is intact. The diamonds are approximately I-J color and SI clarity. Export mark and rubbed possible maker's mark on exterior of shank, assay mark on rim of gallery. Numbered 5550 on interior of shank. Please note that the lot is additionally accompanied by AGL report no. CS 71518 stating that the pink sapphire is of Burmese origin, with no indication of heating.
