Set with one oval-shaped pyramidal cabochon sapphire measuring approximately 7.2 by 5.9 by 5.7 mm, accented by an old European-cut diamond weighing approximately .10 carat, signed Tiffany & Co.
Condition
In good condition. According to the measurements on the AGL certificate, the sapphire is approximately 2.75 carats, although it could be slightly more or slightly less according to the formula used. Minor wear to the platinum setting surface with light scratches and abrasion consistent with normal wear. The bottom of the pin exhibits thread lines, probably where it fit into a pin guard.The translucent sapphire displays a strong, bright, slightly violetish blue hue. The diamond is approximately J-K color, VS clarity. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 65723 stating that the sapphire is of Kashmir origin, with no indications of heating. Accompanied by GIA report no. 2151939422 stating that the sapphire is of Kashmir origin, with no indications of heating.
