The cluster-form tops suspending two pear-shaped sapphires weighing 9.29 and 9.10 carats, framed and topped by pear and marquise-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 16.10 carats, the pendants and tops with maker's mark; pendants detachable; circa 1980. With signed box.
Condition
In very good condition. The sapphires are medium-deep slightly violetish blue and lightly included. The diamonds are approximately F-G color, VVS-VS clarity. The approximate gem weights in the catalogue are derived from a 2011 appraisal performed by Harry Winston. Fitted with posts and omega clips. Nice movement when worn. A copy of the 1980 receipt from Harry Winston states the earrings to be inventory number 48953. Accompanied by GIA report no. 2135275940 stating that the sapphires are of Sri Lankan origin, with no indications of heating. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 66545 A and B stating that the sapphires are of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating.
