Sapphire and Diamond Necklace, Van Cleef & Arpels

Composed of three rows of brilliant-cut diamonds, suspending a cushion-shaped sapphire weighing 32.21 carats, surrounded by brilliant-cut and pear-shaped diamonds, anchored by a cushion-shaped sapphire weighing approximately 2.80 carats, surrounded by pear-shaped diamonds, the diamonds together weighing approximately 65.00 carats, mounted in platinum, length approximately 375mm, signed Van Cleef & Arpels and numbered INT1259.

Colour and Clarity: According to Gübelin report, the larger sapphire is natural, with indications of heating. Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, this sapphire is of intense blue colour, eye clean with brilliance. Upon 10x loupe, there are minor silks and colour-zoning on the crown, not noticeable to naked eyes or normal lighting. The largest pear-shaped diamond set below the pendant weighs approximately 1.49 carats, is about D colour, SI1 clarity. Other diamonds are about D to E colours, VVS to VS clarity. Signed and numbered to the clasp. Condition: Platinum mount, in very good condition.
