Description
- Fred Leighton
- emerald, diamond, yellow gold
The choker necklace of garland design, set throughout with brilliant-cut diamonds, highlighted by six step-cut emeralds, decorated by pear-shaped diamonds, the emeralds and diamonds together weighing approximately 64.15 and 68.80 carats respectively, mounted in 18 karat yellow gold, length approximately 320mm, signed Fred Leighton.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to Gübelin report, the emeralds are natural, of Colombian origin, with indications of minor clarity enhancement. Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, the emeralds are of matching, medium intense green colour, slightly included to naked eyes. Upon 10x loupe, there are natural inclusions with surface reaching fissures on crown and tiny nicks along table facets, but generally not noticeable to naked eyes. A few larger pear-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 1.00 or above each, are about L to M colours, SI clarity. Other diamonds are probably of similar colour to light yellow hue, SI clarity.
Condition: Karat yellow gold mount, choker necklace style with signs of normal wear, otherwise in very good condition.
