Condition
Oil on original canvas. The canvas appears sound. There are some slight losses to one or two of the tips of the raised impasto, only visible upon very close inspection. There are some lines of craquelure in the more impastoed areas of paint, which in some places has resulted in some very minor losses. There are some areas of slight lifting, primarily towards the left side of the upper horizontal edge, in the lower left corner, in the upper right petals of the lower left sunflower, and in the green painted roof to the right of the composition. There are a few areas of extremely minor reticulation. There is some light surface dirt and studio detritus across the work. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.
The work is float-mounted in a square-profile painted wooden frame.
