Condition

The elements of the construction appear secure. The edges of the canvas appear uneven, inkeeping with the artist's working method. There are a few light scuffs to some of the protruding edges of the construction. There are some very small scattered losses, most apparent towards the lower end of the central wooden stretcher bar, with further very small scattered flecks of loss at the lower and upper horizontal edges, and around the edge of the furthest left panel. There are some fine lines of craquelure in isolated areas across the work, most apparent at the edges of the work, which in one or two places is lifting slightly. There are one or two areas of very minor reticulation. There is some light surface dirt across the work. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good condition. Ultraviolet light reveals some fluorescence which appears inkeeping with the nature of the artist's materials. Unframed.
