Condition
Original canvas. The canvas appears sound. There is a slight stretcher line visible along the lower horizontal edge. There are some lines of craquelure visible in scattered areas across the work, most apparent in the lower left corner and the lower centre. There are some traces of studio detritus. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals one or two extremely small spots of minor retouching along the left vertical edge, lower horizontal edge, underneath the figure in the bottom right corner and along the right vertical edge.
The work is presented in a painted wooden frame.
