Oil on original canvas. The canvas appears sound. There is some slight rubbing to the upper left corner of the canvas which has resulted in some slight losses. There are some extremely small losses to one or two of the tips of the raised impasto. There is some very minor reticulation in one or two areas. There are some fine lines of craquelure in the more impasto areas of paint, most apparent in the brown-green pigment in the upper left corner. There is some light surface dirt across the work. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals two small spots of retouching, one to the cream pigment in the lower left quadrant, and one to the middle of the orange bar in the lower right quadrant, both of which have been very sensitively executed.
