Condition
Original canvas. The canvas appears sound, but there is one extremely minor pressure mark towards the left edge of lower horizontal edge, only visible upon very close inspection. There are a few very minor lines of reticulation across the work. There are some extremely fine lines of craquelure, primarily apparent to the white impasto paint of the plate on the left. There is some very light surface dirt and studio detritus. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals one or two very small flecks of retouching, predominantly to the centre of the white plate on the left, which have been very sensitively executed.
The work is presented in a simple painted wooden frame.
