Condition
The sheet is fully laid down onto a backing card. Some of the collaged elements undulate slightly, but otherwise the sheet and the collaged elements appear sound and secure.
There is a small indentation to the sheet above the head of the figure on the left. There are one or two places with reticulation to the black pigment. There are a few areas of cracking to the thickly applied red pigment, including some resultant flecks of loss to the central figure. There are some small scattered spots of foxing to the collaged elements. There is evidence of what appears to be mould to the central figure, and one or two spots elsewhere. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good overall condition, with strong and vibrant pigments throughout.
The work is presented in a lightly varnished wooden frame with linen slip, held under glass.
