Condition
Original canvas. The canvas is slightly loose on its stretcher, but otherwise appears sound. There is some rubbing to the edges of the canvas, most apparent at the corners of the work. There are some light scuffs to the surface of the work, with some minor associated paint loss, most apparent at the upper right corner and towards the top and the bottom of the left vertical edge. There is some craquelure and slight lifting to some of the areas of blue pigment across the work. There is some very light surface dirt across the work. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.
