Condition
Original canvas. The canvas undulates slightly at the top and bottom right corners, but otherwise appears sound. There is a very small pressure mark in the upper right quadrant. There are slight stretcher marks visible at the top, right and bottom edges, with some fine lines of associated craquelure. There is some rubbing to the edges of the canvas, with some small associated losses, most apparent at the left vertical edge. There are some fine scattered lines of craquelure in scattered areas throughout. There is a small scuff in the bottom right corner, with some associated paint loss, with one or two further scuffs elsewhere. There is some light surface dirt across the work, most apparent around the edges of the work. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.
The work is unframed.
