Condition

Original canvas. There is evidence of pushes from the stretcher bars at the edges of the work and along the central horizontal axis, with some further very slight pushes towards the lower half of the work. There is evidence of some abrasion and scuffs at the extreme edges of the work with some small associated areas of paint loss, particularly at the lower corners. There is some light surface dirt and possible blooming in areas of the work including but not limited to the extreme edges and at the centre left of the composition. There is a diagonal crease at the upper centre of the work which appears to be in keeping with the artist's working materials. With the exception of the above the work appears to be in very good overall condition. The work is unframed. Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.
