Condition

The board appears sound. The extreme edges of the board appear slightly worn, most apparent at the lower left and both upper corners. There are some very small losses around the edges of the work, including two losses to the right vertical edge, and three extremely minor losses to the lower horizontal edge. There are some very minor traces of surface dirt across the work, most apparent along the upper side of the top horizontal edge. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals some areas of light fluorescence, thought to be inkeeping with the artist's materials. The work is float-mounted and presented in a simple square-profile painted wooden tray frame. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
