Condition
These fabulous champagne buckets where removed from The Ivy and therefore show typical signs of wear from regular use in one of London's busiest restaurants, including old marks and scratches, particularly to the upper section where they have come into contact with other objects. Sotheby's recommend gallery inspection.

Future Systems (1979-2009) was an innovative London based architecture and design practice founded by the world renowned Czech architect Jan Kaplický (1937-2009) and David Nixon in 1979. Notable commissions include the iconic Media Centre at Lord’s Cricket Ground (1999), which won the Stirling Prize that year, and the otherworldly Selfridges Building in Birmingham (2003).
Shaped like an oversized champagne glass, the form of these buckets was determined by the optimum angle of the bottles lying in ice.
