Literature

Condition

Acrylic on original canvas, unframed. The sides of the canvas have been covered in masking tape, fully covering both vertical sides, the lower horizontal side and partially covering the upper horizontal side. There is some minor surface dirt and studio detritus, most noticeable at the uppermost right hand horizontal edge, which corresponds to the area of loss in the tape. The paint surface is uneven in the thick impasto area of the light blue pigment. The acrylic appears vivid and stable, and the above excepting, the work appears in good condition. Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
