Exhibited

London, Flowers East, John McLean, September - October 2001 (details untraced).

Condition

Acrylic on original canvas. The canvas appears sound. There is a very small area of the surface which is slightly uneven, in the red painted area towards the lower left vertical edge, most probably due to the artist's working method. The surface of the paint is slightly uneven in places, most apparent in the orange painted triangle. There is some very minor surface dirt and studio detritus across the work. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in excellent condition. Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching. The work is float-mounted and framed with a batten. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
