Condition

The sheet is laid down onto a supporting card, with tape along all four edges, on the underside of the card. There is a restored horizontal tear at the lower edge of the work running from the edge of the sheet to the left tree and measuring approximately 20cm. There appear to be several further small restored tears in the lower left corner and another horizontal tear in the lower right corner which runs from the edge of the sheet to the house. There is surface dirt and some studio detritus, most noticeable towards the lower part of right hand vertical edge. There appears to be some discolouration to the sheet and fading of the pigments. The work is window mounted and framed in a simple, natural wood frame, glazed. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
