Condition
Oil on original canvas. There is a slight undulation to the canvas visible at each of the four corners, as well as some minor paint loss at the extreme edge of each corner with other signs of abrasion frame abrasion. There is a small area of paint loss from one of the raised impasto tips towards the bottom of the circular shape, and several very small paint losses to the white painted area at the lower horizontal edge of the canvas.There is some minor surface dirt and studio detritus across the work. The oil paint appears strong and stable and, subject to the above, the work appears to be in good condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.
The work is housed in a simple, square-profile aluminium frame.
