Condition

The sheet is fully laid down onto a supporting card. There are several creases in the sheet, most prominently at the upper left hand corner, only visible when viewed unmounted. The sheet has an uneven edge, only visible when viewed unmounted, and most likely inkeeping with the artist's working method. There is some acidic staining to the sheet around the edges of the mount. There is some smudging of the graphite, most apparent towards the lower right edge. There is some surface dirt and studio detritus across the sheet, most prominent around the edges of the sheet, visible when viewed unmounted. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good condition. The work is housed in an acidic window mount from which we would advice removal. It is framed in a simple painted wooden frame. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
