Maroquin rouge, triple filet en encadrement, dos orné de fers filigranés et branches de laurier, doublure de maroquin rouge encadrée d'une roulette, tranches dorées sur marbrure (Reliure légèrement postérieure, attribuable à Boyet). Exemplaire réglé. Il comprend en fin un feuillet supplémentaire non signalé par Willems (1374) intitulé Clef du Rabelais, répété au volume II.

Edition à la sphère due à l'officine de Daniel Elzevier à Amsterdam.
Très bel exemplaire, réglé, dans une reliure de maroquin, doublée, décorée aux petits fers, attribuable à Boyet, relieur du roi.
Il porte sur les titres l'ex-libris manuscrit Gabaret, famille d'officiers de marine au XVIIe siècle, comprenant Mathurin Gabaret (1600-1671), chef d'escadre des armées navales du Roi, et ses fils Jean (1631-1697), Nicolas (1641-1712), et Mathurin (1644-1673), respectivement lieutenant général du roi en Amérique, gouverneur de Martinique, et capitaine de vaisseau des armées navales du roi.
