Première édition et premier tirage de ce charmant ouvrage entièrement gravé, dédié à Adélaïde d'Orléans, fille du Régent, abbesse de Chelles, illustré d'un frontispice gravé, d'une vignette en tête de la dédicace, et de 35 vignettes décrivant la Passion, non signées, attribuées à Johann Andreas Pfeffel (Augsbourg, 1715-1768).
Bel exemplaire en maroquin noir aux armes de Marie d'Abadie, depuis 1753 marquise Rouillé du Coudray. De la bibliothèque Robert Hoe (I, 1911, n° 2472).
