THE AUTOGRAPH EDITION OF LINDBERGH'S HUGELY POPULAR 'INSTANT' AUTOBIOGRAPHY, coinciding with his three-month tour of the country in which we was seen by more than thirty million Americans, then a quarter of the country's population. The trade edition of We sold more than 650,000 copies in the first year.
We is subtitled "The Famous Flier's Own Story of his Life and his Transatlantic flight, together with his views on the future of Aviation". This copy includes the "Publisher's Note" issued on a separate leaf noting that "though issued some weeks later than the popular edition, the Autograph edition consists of first impressions on Old Stratford Linen paper... The illustrations are from plates used for the first time". Two copies of Lindbergh's Own Story, a 24 page pamphlet published by The New York Times are also included. A United States postage stamp (featuring "Lindbergh Air Mail") is tipped-in on the front free endpaper of the book.
