There is some slight soiling to the upper cover. The head and foot of the spine is very slightly bumped. The final leaf (blank) and the rear free endpaper are becoming loose.

The recipient is James Gomer Berry, 1st Viscount Kemsley GBE (1883-1968), newspaper publisher and founder of Kemsley Newspapers, which owned The Sunday Times (where Fleming worked), The Daily Sketch and The Sunday Graphic , amongst others.
