Condition is described in the main body of the cataloguing, when appropriate. As noted, there is some spotting and browning to the free endpapers. There is also some slight spotting to the edges, and some minor soiling to the top edge. The upper cover has a minor mark and there is some slight cracking to the front fixed endpaper / upper cover (evident from looking at the front fixed endpaper). The head and foot of the spine is very slightly bumped.

Catalogue Note

The contemporary presentation inscription by Fleming of his third Bond novel is to the journalist Joyce Emerson (1921--1979), who worked at the Sunday Times during the 1950s and 60s, working on the Atticus team alongside Fleming and probably -- as the inscription suggests -- ghost-writing some of his pieces for him. Moonraker was published on 7 April 1955.
