Stedbalm | from Wm Faulkner") on front free endpaper, ADDITIONALLY SIGNED AND DATED ("William Faulkner | Oxford, Miss | 31 December 1924") on title-page, original mottled green boards with paper labels on upper cover and spine, DUST-JACKET together with glassine, collector's chemise and green morocco-backed slipcase, browning to endpapers, spotting to edges, dust-jacket and glassine frayed and torn at top edge with some minor loss
