Catalogue Note

A remarkable copy of Flight Lieutenant Roald Dahl's first book in an unrestored dust-jacket.

The Walt Disney film was abandoned amid concerns over the origin of the term "Gremlin". The OED notes the word as R.A.F. slang and cites a 1941 appearance within Charles Graves' The Thin Blue Line.
