Catalogue Note

AN EXCEPTIONAL COPY WITH A FINE PEN AND INK DRAWING, apparently of Princess Diaphanie and her suitor, by Nielsen on the recto of the limitation leaf. It seems the limitation leaf was removed and then reinserted at some stage, perhaps to allow the artist to execute this drawing.
