Catalogue Note

Home Chat magazine published a series of six colour plates at the end of 1928 (to mark publication of the final Pooh book). Each was specially drawn for the publication by E.H. Shepard and they represent SOME OF THE EARLIEST COLOURED WINNIE-THE-POOH DRAWINGS. The present lot offers the six plates enclosed within the appropriate issue of Home Chat. The plates are as follows:
1. “Christopher Robin has a Little Something at Eleven” (6 October 1928)
2. “What Christopher Robin does in the Mornings” (13 October 1928)
3. “Christopher Robin at the Enchanted Place” (20 October 1928)
4. “Christopher Robin organises and ‘Expotition’” (27 October 1928)
5. “Christopher Robin’s Green Braces” (3 November 1928)
6. “Christopher Robin gives Extract of Malt all round” (10 November 1928)
