Catalogue Note

Watership Down was first published in 1972 by Rex Collings. The first illustrated edition was published by Penguin Books in 1976. At the time of publication a limited edition of 250 copies was issued by Paradine which included a foreword not published elsewhere. A small number of the 250 included an original drawing by the illustrator on a preliminary blank, as here.
