Condition

This work on Masonite is clean. The board is flat. The paint layer is varnished and generally in healthy condition. The artist used a good deal of oily paint in many areas, and some shrinkage to the pigment can be seen, for instance in the deep red color in the lower right. There are a couple of tiny losses here, but none of any significance. The paint layer has shown some past instability in the sky in the upper right that now seems to be stable. The paint layer is very healthy throughout the remainder of the picture. Apart from a couple of small isolated dots, there are no retouches. The work should be hung as is.
