Condition

The color on this watercolor on paper is strong and fresh. The paper has been mounted on what we believe is an acid-free paper to stabilize the drawing. There are several creases throughout the work, in particular through the middle section, where the crease goes across the entire work horizontally. Other creases: • In lower section, crossing almost all of the composition, starting 6 inches from the bottom going all the way from the left edge to the middle section of the globe on the right • Around the edges – three 2-inch long creases at the bottom near the tree • A diagonal crease 3.5 inches long in bottom right corner • A 3-inch crease on the right, 18 inches from the bottom • A well-repaired crease 3 inches from the top, running through the sky • A crease 7 inches from the top, running 4 inches inward from the left • A crease 14 inches from the top, running 8 inches into the foliage in the boot
