A silver-gilt icon of Christ Pantocrator, Sazikov, Moscow, 1848

The icon in very good condition, the face and hands with original craquelure. A few losses throughout, notably where the metal halo fixings have rubbed and along Christ's neck line. Light surface dirt throughout and very small areas of polishing residue. The silver oklad in very good condition, the sceptre very slightly bent. Only two original pins remaining and the halo very slightly loose, with one fixing having been lost.
