Condition

THE FIRST: Oil on paper mounted on canvas. Surface in generally good condition. There are a few scattered losses visible primarily around the extreme edges of the work. Scattered craquelure and some pigment separation visible in the upper center. Under UV light: A few scattered areas of inpainting visible. THE SECOND: Oil on paper mounted in canvas. Surface in generally good condition. A few scattered areas of loss around the extreme edges. There is a web of very fine craquelure visible in areas of more thickly applied paint. Surface dirt and dirty varnish. Under UV light: A few scattered areas of inpainting visible.
