Catalogue Note

The present painting is one of a group of works which relate to the stained glass windows that Hughie O'Donoghue designed for Westminster Abbey in 2012. A number of these were exhibited at Marlborough Fine Art in 2013, titled A Need for Gardens, of which two are in the British Museum and another in the Hunt Museum, Limerick.
