Gifted to the previous owner on her wedding in 1932, thence by descent to the present owner
Condition
The canvasboard appears sound. Some pigments by the edge of the lake in the foreground appear to be the result of the artist's reworking the composition and not retouchings. Under ultraviolet light they do not fluoresce and there are no other signs of retouching. The work appears in good overall condition, clean and ready to hang.
Held in a dark stained rippled frame.
